Oh yes there IS an Oracle ODBC driver for Oracle 6!! It's distributed by Microsoft, though, not Oracle and was written by Page Ahead Software, not Oracle. Try ftp.microsoft.com or just buy a copy of Excel 5 - it's in there, among other places.

We use it daily against our Oracle 6 servers.
