Only one comment when IBM has to call their product DB2/6000 that should be a clue that the product may not be as flexable as you may want it to be. You may at a later date want to move the database off of a RISC 6000 onto another platform even another IBM machine this may not be possible if IBM has gear this database to the RISC 6000.
