I believe the issue is co-existence and support of winsock.dll and unix TCP/ip under WABI emulation (provided SQLnet is winsock compliant). I don't think this has been done yet but I have seen it discussed in other news groups like comp.unixware comp.solaris. Even if it were supported the client app would have to be WABI compliant. At this point I can understand ORACLE'S reluctance to get involved with something so obfusicated(?) at this time.
