We periodically get these types of messages as well, but they are related to activities associated with dbs triggers. (i.e. a commit will fail because the audit trail trigger that fired as a result of the commit fails due to lack of shared memory)

We are running Oracle V7.0.12.??.?? and I don't know the PL/SQL version.

We are running on a Sun 600MP, SunOS 4.1.2, 128 MB memory with one instance. I will say that the problem has decrease significantly since moving from 64 MB to 128 MB. We were seeing fairly often, now only seldom.
