Does anyone have good experience using an API that provides an
embedded standard SQL interface on top of the major SQL databases
(Informix, Oracle, Sybase, cheap-pd-dbms, etc.)? I know of a few
(Persistence, Techgnosis, Vortech).
I would be very interested in actual experiences (successes, failures)
in building applications that allow the underlying database to be
changed from one to another without any changes to that application.
One major requirement is that it work on all the major UNIX platforms.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated,
Ted Cahall
