Unloading ASCII delimited with Oracle6?

    I'm sorry, but I think you guys are missing the point of Greg Sheppards original posting; the bit about "without" loads of scripts.

    We've all written SQL to dump Oracle tables in CSV format firstly thats not what he asked for, and secondly thats the whole point WE'VE ALL DONE IT.

    So why isn't it a standard part of say EXP - export in another format, CSV  & DBASE for starters.

   Its like Oracle bend over backwards getting our free format textual data IN, but if you want to get it out you have to write a program. [Ok Oracle DATA browser FINALLY lets you output CSV] but my client/server PC database talks Oracle/Paradox/Dbase/Access/CSV just for starters; why can't EXP too ?
