we are currently in the preeval stage of gupta, omnis 7, and power builder. my sr programmer is pro gupta ( i think it's from consultant pressure), i'm leaning toward an omnis 7 direction. the biggest issue is not the 95% they are the same but the 5% they are different. as a bda/sys admin/ designer i want to be able to distribute my code. omnis seems to have it in place (tho i would need to use sysbase to do it transparently (sql*net needs to be able to support blobs) (yes i know i can use ftp, rdist ans other stuff but i do not neccisarily know that much about the configuration of the servers required (i really don't want to know).

oracle? whats the scoop? omnis says it's in your court, is it? bill pociengel
