Howdy folks,
We have a couple of PCs running Oracle SQL*Net so that the main PC application ( Microstation ) can access a UNIX Oracle database over the network. We are using PC-NFS TCP/IP software.
The problem is, while PC-NFS works fine with our Intergraph UNIX box, we need to be able to access file and print services on our VAXen. One option is to get a PC_NFS version for VMS, but I don't know if that exists. The other option is to switch from PC-NFS to, say, Pathworks TCP/IP, which the VAXen will talk to happily.
The question is, what different flavours of TCP/IP will SQL*Net/DOS support ? How fussy is it ?
Any and all replies gratefully received.
Cheers
Andrew
