No, you are not the 1st. We have tried it and there were no problems at all. The only thing that was a problem was that we wanted SQL*Net V2 and V1 running at the same time. We have since found that it might be possible.

Looks like you have a bit of kernel building to do here. My advice is to X4 the number of semaphores. They dont take up much memory at all and it allows you to run multiple instances of the databases.
