Hi Netters,

I've been tring to install SQL*NET (client) on a PC with a SUN as the server, and I 've run into a few problems. I'd really appreciate it if someone out there would answer what must be (to you) some very simple questions:

  1. I'm supposed to load a file called NETINIT.EXE (from WIN.INI). This is supposed to pre-allocate memory for SQL*NET. I can't seem to find this file. Is it a part of SQL*NET software, or does it come with PC_NFS for the SUNs? It is supposed to reside in the c:\oracle6\bin\ directory.
  2. Maybe I haven't configured config.ora right,...can anyone out there tell me what MUST be in this file (in addition to what the default installation puts in there)?

Thanks a lot, in advance. Received on Sun May 02 1993 - 22:51:58 CEST
