Hello out there,
Is there anybody who has some experience in using the Case desinger on
X windows server software. I mean take a PC, install some kind of X windows
server or install a flavour of unix on that PC which comes with X windows.
Connect your PC to a bigger Unix machine (rs6k) with X software installed but
without a screen capable of showing graphics. Install Case designer on the
rs6k machine and run the designer as a client of your X windows software on
your PC.
(Note that the connection between the PC and the rs6k is ethernet)
Is this fast enough or should you really run your case designer on the PC and use SQLNet to connect to your database on rs6k ?
