E-mail interface to Oracle SQL?

Has anyone written an E-Mail agent which will receive incoming E-mails on an Oracle Database Server, parse them for SQL queries to pass to the database, and which will reply with the result of the query?

If so, especially if anyone knows of shell-scripts/programmes in the public domain which will achieve this, I'd be very grateful for a mail concerning how to go about it. If you would like to see a summary of responses "published" here, please say so.
