If you want ansi complient code, stick to Pro*..., if you want

   performance then use OCI.

Our application compiled with ProC or ProCobol generated 100000 lines

   of junk code and the compiler just puked. With OCI the application    has shrunk to 1/10th, we have got the control and about 20%    more throughput.
