PROGRAM CHAIR: Nabil Adam and Bharat Bhargava

OBJECTIVE: The aim of the workshop is to provide a forum to discuss evolving research issues and applications in database and information management. Invited speakers from industry, universities, and government will present their experiences and vision for future. Topics include Object-oriented, Multi-Media and Knowledge Databases, Transitions to Open Systems and Interoperability, Query Processing, Security, and Temporal Databases. An edited book and special issue of a journal are planned.

LOCATION: Ackerson Hall Annex, 180 University Ave, Newark, NJ

ACCOMMODATION: All attendees are welcome to stay at the Hilton and Towers (Gateway Center, Raymond Blvd., Newark, NJ) (201) 622-5000. A block of rooms has been reserved and a special rate ($65) has been arranged for the attendees. For a Courtesy bus from Newark Airport call the Hilton.
