I knew of one site that tried to use Forms on a commercial web-site aimed at
the general public, and it was short-lived. The application was too slow to
download, and not very intuitive. They are now re-designing the application
using standard web technologies.
If you already have an Oracle background, you may want to look at using iAS
and the PL/SQL toolkit. You can leverage your PL/SQL knowledge (and existing

While I haven't used WebDB, it was given a trial-run at a company I used to work for. The developers who evaluated it concluded that it was useful for simple apps, but not robust enough to do complicated processing like you can do within Forms or more robust web technologies.
