I, too, have found the Forms 5 search feature wholly inadequate. I have supplemented text searches by loading the FMB file into a text editor like KEDIT and search there...although the binary portions cannot be read, I can usually narrow down my search, then return to the Object navigator and look at the [Quoted] items in detail...
I like File Admin idea, even though like the above it still requires two editors: Forms 5 and a Text editor.
