There are a large number of vendors with document management packages you can purchase off the shelf that work with Oracle. My advise to you, in evaluating them, is to get written guarantees on their support services when it comes to installation and upgrade. Particularly with respect to response time and the quality of personnel you will work with. Many seem to make more money selling consulting services to fix their inadequate install and upgrade programs than they do selling the programs themselves.

Also be sure you have a migration path back to ASCII for your data or they will have you trapped. And don't think they don't know it.
