Using UTL_FILE in PL/SQL

    Hi, I'm using the UTL_FILE package to write out some query results to a file on our server's OS.  The UTL_FILE works fine, I just haven't found a way (built-in) to make my output fixed length.  I've even tried the PUTF function to no avail.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
