Before you can run "table to entity" retrofit, you must reverse engineer the necessary tables. Reverse engineering will create the "definitions" of these tables in the in the Designer repository. The "table to entity retrofit" utility will show you a list of definitions for tables that do not correspond to any existing entities.

In the dialog box for the reverse engineer utility, you must provide the userid, password and the connect string for the schema that contains the tables to be reverse engineered.

In Designer, all table and entity definitions are owned by an application system. You must either create a new application system or use an existing one to reverse engineer the tables. You can do this through the RON.
