Here's a big tip for moving things around on your canvas: Turn off grid-snap (Open a canvas, select View, make sure Grid Snap is NOT checked). Now select one or more objects on the canvas, and use your keyboard arrow keys, and NOT the mouse to move the objects. Each arrow-key keystroke moves the object just one pixel.
