Re: developer 2000 1.5.1or 2.0?

Developer 1.5.1 is out in Canada (I'm sure the states too). We are currently running this on NT 4.0.
It has Forms 4.5 and Reports 2.5

I just recieved Oracle Designer 2000 Release 2.0 beta which contains Forms 5.0 and reports 3.0.
It beta and it will be released in January. Apparantly it is available in the States. I was told to talk to "my oracle sale rep" on getting this in Canada.

I like some knew features of 5.0 especially better imaging capablilities better OCX capabilities and some funky wizards.

I recieved the demo from Oracle but you can fill out a form for it at www.olab.com
(It takes a few weeks to get it!)

Both packages are "web enabled". But the java applets are slow to load and sometimes look funny depending on the browser you use. Overall I was not impressed with the web abilities of 1.5.1. (Except I was happy with reports on the web and it dynamic HTML capabilities)
