Oracle JDBC Thin Driver

Does anyone have experience with implementing applets with the JDBC Thin drivers from Oracle? When I load my applet into Netscape Navigator 4.03 it works fine. However, when the applet reloads the Oracle driver fails to load. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
