Oracle 10g client installation

Hi All,
The Oracle10g client is installed on Solaris 10 and the installation went on well and the sqlplus is not there.the issue is that the script to execute as root is not asked to execute and when the sqlplus is typed it shows that the command not found.the client installed is 10.2.0.2.if anyone has the documents for this installation pleas shere the same.
