Hotsos resource profiler value?

Hi All,

Has anyone purchased the Hotsos resource profiler tool? I have read Cary Milsap's book and appreciate his deep knowledge of performance tuning. I wrote my own very limited 10046 trace parser a few years ago, so I also appreciate the effort involved in such an effort.

We are being quoted $10K US per user though, and I am wondering if anyone who has used has found it to be much more useful than just a 10046 trace coupled with the instance performance views and grid control (both for which we are fully licensed).

Also, how does orasrp compare to it?
