Strange behaviour of Windows 2003 after Failsafe Installation

The following has been bothering us for some time now:

After you install Failsafe on a Windows 2003 Cluster, no other user than the one installing Failsafe is able to install new software, search for files/Folders via the Start Button or within the Windows Explorer etc.

Until last Friday we weren't even sure that it was a result of the FailSafe installation.

In the meantime there is a note published on Metalink (Note 280105.1) that explains the why and what to do.

This is also covered by the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 274696.

Since I hadn't found anything on google regarding this issue, I thought I'd post here - my apologies if this was common knowledge and I'm just to stupid to search correctly.
