Forgive my ignorance, but the "cluster group": is this the thing MS uses to tell it what programs to failover and startup on the surviving node?

In which case, you certainly would want to make sure the Agent is re-started on node 2. (And the Listener etc).

But of course, if we're talking Microsoft clustering (and in particular, Microsoft's "cluster services" cluster management software) we aren't talking Real Application Clusters. Though I agree I assumed we were and it is possible we aren't!

Clear as mud, I guess!!
