A good excuse were it true: But it is not. You are just trying to rationalize yourself out of a hole of your own making.

No one asked me to join. I heard about 10g, back then 10i, from PR releases at oracle.com and contacted Oracle through the university.

It wasn't announced, it wasn't wide open.

It was most certainly announced. But of course it wasn't wide open. Apparently the entire concept of Beta testing has eluded you.

Microsoft has licenses for Oracle. I assume you think they should have sent copies there too.

Each and every participant was voted on and invited.

Pure unadulterated make-believe.

Don't intend to be now. You have offended me by, to be quite up front about it, fabricating information in a vain attempt to convince people you have been victimized by a giant corporation. And everyone can clearly see whose holding the shovel.

The first rule of holes: If you are in one stop digging.

I'd suggest that you try a more mature approach. Stop blaming others for what you yourself did or didn't do. Then publicly apologize to Oracle for all of this.

And if the above sounds like lecturing ... then I've clearly communicated my feelings.
