Thanks. Just what I needed to know. 8.1.7 rman here I come. On another note: had to do some 8.1.7 installs today on HP/UX. Thank God I got that Linux stuff running on my notebook: as usual, none of the Windoze slavestations had anything looking remotely like x-windows running. Plugged in my notebook and bingo, away it went humming away with the installs. I could get a lot more used to this Linux stuff, I tell ya...
