I did up a quick & dirty spreadsheet comparing the two a while back, when my boss went thru the roof when we saw what our new licensing was going to cost us once we had to opt in to the named users scheme. Not sure how it would apply to a data warehousing app, but it showed that depending on more than a few factors sometimes MSSQL was less $$$ and sometimes it was more. Oracles licensing matrix is quite simple now, the MSSQL one is not, and I got three different answers from three different MS reps when I was enquiring for more details.

I think one fellow that I e-mailed a copy to was going to improve on it and post it on his site(I forget who)
