Sybrand,

I have been sitting here trying to figure out what else I could try. tnsping oratest returned error #12541 but then I hd the notion to ping oratest and that was successful. It has suddenly occurred to me that I am going through a LinkSys Router/Firewall box. I don't know if this might be affecting my setup. Thanks.
