I can't speak for Sybase but the page is littered with errors and ignorance and bad practice held up as a good feature.

for example

Oracle has 3 programming languages server sql,sql*plus and pl/sql.

server sql ! Does anyone have a clue what this is? server manager? sql? sql*plus. The guy cant tell the difference between a program run by a user and a language. That ought to tell you something.

or again

It is a standard in Oracle for a programmer to issue commands knowing that they will potentially fail.

Actually it is standard when programming to issue commands and know that they will potentially fail. exception handling is essential to good. code.
