Check out the Oracle/Compaq sizer available somewhere at http://www.oracle.com.
You'll find it under servers... errr, don't remember where it is. Go have a look !
It takes input from you about users, transactions, data sizes, etc. and comes up with several parameters for you to set. /Kjetil
