Hi,

I got the following output after I restartup my oracle server.

Total System Global Area 4762032 bytes
Fixed Size 39816 bytes
Variable Size 4304424 bytes
Database Buffers 409600 bytes
Redo Buffers 8192 bytes

can somebody explain
what is Fixed Size? and Variable Size?
how their number comes out 39816?4304424? by adding up other number?

thanks,

Paul. Received on Tue Oct 27 1998 - 17:28:46 CST
