Not possible with the standard NT tape backup program as it only support NT backoops format.

I'm sure there must be some 3rd party tape software for NT that supports multiple formats that may be able to read your DLT tape. Also, unlike Unix, you can not specifying the tape device name as a filename parameter (e.g. you can not import directly from tape under NT). AFAIK NT has special i/o API calls for tape devices that differ from the standard i/o calls for accessing a file system.
