Hi Christina,

Although I'm not familiar with the platform you use (our's is Digital Open VMS) here are some clues:

• Check the owner of the directories in which the new release is placed
• In open VMS you need the ORA_DBA identifier to run SVRMGR and ORA_<sid>_SGA to startup the <sid> regards,
