Since you create Forms triggers in PL/SQL, it wouldn't be wasting your time to learn PL/SQL if you want to be a Forms developer. I've known plenty of DBAs, however, who never went thru a period of being a developer ... just jumped right into a DBA (I think that's a mistake ... but that's just my opinion). Every DBA does need to know SQL.

The way the IT job market is right now, it's hard to say WHAT you should do to get that entry level job. Luck has as much to do with landing a job as skill does. If the technical school costs a lot of money, you'd be better off (probably) saving your money.

My son-in-law was an IT recruiter (head hunter) in Atlanta. For a while it was a heyday for him, getting fees for placing nearly every IT person who came into his office. Then all the Silicon Valley companies who moved to Atlanta for the reduced cost-of-living dried up. He's no longer an Atlanta head hunter.

Just what you needed, huh ... more bad news?

Best of luck.
