I've installed Oracle 9i Personal edition on three different computers:
1.. Pentium 3 888Mhz, 320 MB SDRAM
2.. AMD Athlon 2000, 512 MB DDR.
3.. Pentium 4 2.6 Ghz, 512 MB DDR.
No problems whatsoever with those 3 computers.
You might want to go to the DRIVE:\........\install\win32\setup.exe file that's the one I run all the time.
What are the specs of your PC?

Windows XP(pro) ?
I've tried clicking the install icon and get no result at all.
Nothing happens. No error messages or anything.
Other programs that don't work on XP produce an error
message when I try to install them, or appear to install
but don't run. I would expect something similar from Oracle.
But I get no result at all.
Is this a problem with my computer, or with XP itself?
