Hello Dev,

We have had at least two set of experiences w/NetApp (FAS920) storage/redhat linux in the past :

  1. netapp filer w/nfs (data warehouse - 10.2.0.2) - redhat 3. - Sluggish from our standpoint. - Raid 4 with double parity disks and one spare, 25 disk stripe plus 2 parity plus 1 spare=28 disks
  2. netapp filer w/iscsi (dev database - 10.2.0.3) - redhat 4. - Not as sluggish as the prior setup, however, developers weren't excited about it.

Also, it appeared to us that as the Filer got more and more filled up, the performance
started deteriorating.
