Hi,

I was wondering why not Oracle, writes his own server operating system. The files are simply big bfiles, and if they need some library for something, they can use linux free libraries. The have asm functionality, etc. They have at least 80% of all the work.

Do you imagine the posibility to use resource management, flashback, auditing, security, etc., with os files and users, I think this will be really nice.

I had been breaking my head trying to find a way to discover the funny guy who deleted some file, and I couldn't find the way. I think windows is too limitated, for some tasks, Oracle has more functionality.

I don't understand why Oracle doesn't do his own server operating system. I think one day they'll got the idea and is going to write his own operating system.
