Patronising bastard!

On the evidence, it would appear that I understand quoting better than you do.

Your post quoted the attribution line for mine. Fair enough. Though the point of quoting is to save readers from having to dig for older posts by including some context for your reply, so that line by itself isn't much help.

A lot of your post was unquoted, and therefore theoretically by you, but given the next bit I wouldn't want to be too sure.

The only quoted bit in your post was quoted with >> , and therefore not marked as something I wrote but as something that was quoted with > in my post. Except that it wasn't, and I can't find a post which actually contained it - if you want to prove it came from a message I want the message-id please, it's the only guaranteed way to track it down.

So no wonder I was uncertain what you were on about.

Also the << at the end of the quoted lines is not part of any normal quoting convention.

Lastly, please allow yourself to get hold of the idea that I do *not* want your help or instruction. Any questions I have asked were requests for elaboration (never provided) and most of the rest of what I have written was statements of disagreement, which you seem unable to cope with.

Eric
