For me, yes it is. I wrote my first program in 1981, using PL/I on mainframe. However, for the current generation of developers, they do not have such an association, most of them haven't ever seen neighter PL/I nor COBOL.
So I think currently it does not matter if we say "rows" or "records", unless we want to send a message that we live in the past Received on Mon Aug 22 2005 - 20:25:07 CEST
