Plenty of articles and white papers on SQL Server CE application development using .NET tools. I've grown quite fond of SQL Server for solutions that require scalability in either direction (upwards _OR_ downwards) - something you don't get with Oracle. Thos are the only two db environments that I'm very familiar with (unless you count Access).
