I am perfectly willing to put up with the foibles, eccentricities, and drunkenness of anyone who even occasionally offers really "insightful advice and astute judgements", and so should we all. I am less interested in hearing from a relentlessly polite but energetic and vocal imbecile, of whom there are many contributing to this group, but that's life. The signal-to-noise ratio is still quite high, and at least this group is mostly free of spam, God(s), hate-mongering, and the kind of images I prefer to view in private at home.

I have no use for a moderated group to replace or even supplement comp.databases.theory. It was kind thought, but no, thank you.
