And what is known about neurons is more complex too, it was only a

The actual tools are rather powerful, but the real problem is not the behaviour of a single neuron, which is not extremely complex, the problem is that we have about one trillion neurons of different types, and each one may have from dozens to hundreds of connections. The combinatorial explosion is absolutely overwhelming.
