Data Modeling Notations

I am curious about the different notations used in simple ER diagrams. I have some experience with ERwin and Visio. ERwin supports IDEF1X ("integrated definition for information modeling"); IE ("information engineering"); and DM ("dimensional modeling"). Visio has a "relational notation", the IDEF1X notation, and a "crow's foot notation".

What notation does Oracle Designer use? How about DataArchitect and ERStudio? Which are custom notations and which are standardized? Is there a consensus about which is best?
