He made statements about math (basics of abstract algebra, that you apparently are missing), XP, tests, and about his objectives ("I'd like to get away from discussing Date's understanding or lack of it. Can't we just talk about whether we think a decent OO type system should allow (not force) the integers to be a subtype of the reals and why that would be useful?"). He also made some statements in French.
Given his posts on comp.object, I conclude that Martijn has solid education, inclination toward analytical thinking, remarkable tact, and distaste for mud slinging.
