Empirically currently available commercial object databases may outperform currently available SQL databases for very limited applications. Emprically geckos run faster than sloths, which does not imply that all reptiles run faster than all mammals.
If your statement applies only to currently available SQL databases, please limit your criticisms to currently available SQL databases. And if one of the initial assumptions of your criticism severely limits the scope of applicability, please include that in your criticism as well.
If you say that non-relational object databases are faster than relational databases, your statement is false. Period. Received on Sat Aug 04 2001 - 20:53:33 CEST
