No, there isn't.

If you are looking for information on how to build an (object-)relational database then you should be looking out for the name Michael Stonebraker who is one of the world's leading researchers in this area. You can find his home page at

and if you look at the bottom of that page you will see some references to relevant articles. You can find more if you follow the POSTGRES link which will lead you to some on-line research and overview articles.

Another interesting place to look might be the PostgreSQL Developer's Guide which gives an overview of the internals of the backend. It is part of the PostgreSQL Documentation. Look for a mirror near you:
