Could you expand as to where I can find this software? Or anyone? I think my searching skills are getting rusty. :)

I agree with the Emacs statement, but at this point I'm managing 12 databases with a total running around 5 - 600 unique tables so I'm thinking the visual route is my best option. Otherwise I've used Dia for Linux but it's so chock full 'o bugs that after a while it becomes a nuisance.
