Re: ***newbie*** How do I become a DBA??

Go out to www.deja.com and search on dba in this newsgroup. There have been several threads on this subject. Training and ocp are great to a point. However experience always wins. Is there anyone at PSU who is a DBA? If so, I'd get real friendly with them. You could probably get some experience by volunteering.
